HI, I"m not clear if the Snowball comes with a USB cable, or do I need to buy that separately? And do you think it's worth it to buy the extra shockmount?

Chris, On your good advice I went to Amazon and ordered the Blue Snowball mic as you demonstrated. Oops! It doesn't want to play on my 64bit AMD running Mint 6.0 or on my HP laptop running Mint 6.0. So I fired up the Sony and loaded UBUNTU Studio on it - and.... It doesn't run on that Linux either.

What is the OS you are running your gear on? I'm having trouble convincing my wife that I won this Mic and its going to go badly if it doesn't work soon.
